1. The Checklist.
Hello, I’m Lucy the Labrador. I’m a mammal. My human is also a mammal but of a clearly inferior species - Homo sapiens - when compared with my own - Canis lupus (familiaris) . I spend a lot of my time sniffing out fascinating smells and sitting around morally blackmailing humans to give me more food while he does pointless things such as collecting postage stamps which are not food by any stretch of the imagination and, since he was a pup, he has had an interest in finding out about mammals. Then he had the idea of trying to discover every mammal species featured on a postage stamp (which seems like a pretty pointless idea to me) and compiling a check list of every known mammal and featuring the best stamp he can find which depicts each species. Clearly writing the list itself is quite a task but as time goes by he will build up the list on this first edition of rhe Blog and if no stamp exists of a particular species then he will ask something...
